This is how most sites and blogs start: at square 1. It’s a humbling feeling to realize no one is reading, listening, or even remotely aware that this site exists. No one knows, no one cares.

But hey, it’s only been a few hours since I installed my favorite CMS (content management system) called WordPress (version 3.0 is now out and with new advanced tools available, it’s never been a better time to start a site) and began customizing the look and filling in some content, including this first post.

What has taken longer is to really research why I wanted to start this blog in the first place. After several weeks of tossing the right approach around — wanting desperately to avoid the by now cliche narcissistic tendency of screaming as loudly as you can to be heard —  it finally hit me that I want to take what I learn in my every day business, marketing and life encounters and write about it so that:

  1. For my own reflective benefit, so that I may extract from the trenches the business, marketing and life principles that drive a happy, value add and profitable lifestyle, and
  2. I could distill these lessons from my experiences for visitors and clients seeking new ideas, trying to unstick their business and breakthrough.

If even just one person connects with me to the right via email, RSS, Linked-In,  Facebook and Twitter, I will be very grateful for the opportunity to share and learn from each other.
